Western Scotland

Western Scotland is full of islands! And because it is bounded by the Atlantic Ocean it is generally a bit warmer than the eastern part of the country which borders on the cold North Sea. Staying at the western coastline invites you to easily hop from island to island as there is a good network of ferry services. And every island sure has its own appeal. The Isle of Arran in the very south is rather small and features dramatic mountain peaks, sheltered beaches and green forests. Whereas, a bit up north the Isle of Skye is the largest of the Inner Hebrides but still keeps the iconic Scottish magic of scenic nature and captivating history. Whichever spot you choose, you will be sure to experience the Scottish way of life and get a lot of opportunity for unique and dramatic photos or paintings.
